America the beautiful!

America is Great! Capital G. There I said it I’m tired of the the excessive negavity towards this country. It has it flies, but it is still hands down one of if the not the best county on Earth. The oppurtunities, the culture, the way f life are so underappreciated. Therefore for those whohave forgotten, those who ignore it, those who are pessimistic, this country is still America the beautiful and I will still pledge allegiance to her. One nation under God with liberty and justice for all.

Youre quite patriotic. And although I agree with the above, there are still tons of problems with America.

It’s one of the better countries of the world, but the health care system, government and laws (shotguns at Wal-Mart???) are quite a mess right now, one could say very inferior compared to other countries.
Still, you should always be proud of your home.

I agree they are plenty. Yet these problems are so minor so minuscule in relation to some of the hardships faced by the rest of world. Tiny with regards to the rights and oppurtunities we do have. Their is such a disregard for the multitude of good inherent in this country, I just feel that so many forget or less don’t give this country it’s due.

Thats true. We are one of the better countries, but I dont think our problems are minor. Sure, we dont live in a war zone or anything extremem, but we have millions of homeless and starving people right here in our own country. I dont think we should be sending out reinforcements to other countries who dont want us there. We should be focusing on our problems, and fixing ourselves, before we try interfer with others.

Like you said it’s one of the better countries in the world. You know we’re working on the health care issues. It’s an important part of many of the Presidential candidate’s platforms. Government has been better, but it hasn’t been as bad as it has been maded to seem. As for guns as Walmart, some are adamant of their gun rights.

I feel that the oppurtunities for improvement in this country are so vast, that a majority, nigh most of the homeless are as such due to their own lack of motivation and wherewithal. If illegal immmigrants can come here and make something of themselves why can’t a homeless individual? No we shouldn’t be send reinforcements to countries who don’t want us. But what about countries that we destroyed and have a responsibilty to rebuild and to ensure their survival because their current state is our fault.

Its our fault b/c we sent our troops places where we werent asked to be. Its our fault there destroyed, and we try to fix them, but their governments take the supplies that are suppose to go to the needy to give to their army as what? War supplies. We dont learn, and we dont have an obligation to ensure their survival. I consider America a warrior. Look at our history and struggle to survive on our own independently. Other countries can too. You can take the same “most of the homeless are as such due to their own lack of motivation and wherewithal” and apply it to the countries whos governments are depending on us to fuel their armies. And not all homeless people are homeless b/c of a lack of self motivation. Things happen in lfe. Sometimes its nice to have a hand back up and not everyone gets it.

Can I ask you a question, I live in South Africa and well most of the people here immigrate to Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. Is it difficult to get citizanship in America or not really??? If you know anything about that I am just very interested in knowing if it is easy or not? Like do you need special qualifications or how does it work?
Please answer me if you can as I am extremely curious regarding this. Thanx

No not easy your fist have to apply for residency than become a permiment resident. That takes from 1.5 - 5.0 yrs depending on your circumstances. Sometimes more. Than of you have to add time to become a permanenr resident. Than you have to a permanent resident for atleast 5 years. Can’t be a communist or nazi, they specifically ask you. After the 5 year residency you have to apply for it and take a test on your english and understanding of U.S. government and history. Not too hard.

Does not sound too difficult. I think that South Africa (believe it or not), is a lot like America in many ways. The english culture is pretty much the same you know, music, branding, fast-food etc etc. Your country is just a hell of a lot safer and the justice system actually works over there. I love my country - do not misinterprite that at all, however if I look at the crime and politics and things like that I actually really do get frightened. Murderers, rapists, they all get a maximum of five years in jail over here and even then they escape half of the time or are freed. Not saying kill everyone, but if it were an option, people would think twice about being so violent!!!
I was just interested to know how it worked, as some places are very strict with who they take in.

America is the best country. regardless of the problems. i belive that this is the country that anyone, regardless of race or religion, can turn to when the chips are down. we are the “child”, the “younger god”, the “dirty americans”. we are also the ones who will help you if you need food, clothing, protection, or just a shoulder to cry on. we are the one who will stand by you until you cry enough and then just hang around to make sure you are all right. we are the “melting pot” and it made us the greatest country in the world because we can see both sides of an issue. america is also the place where you can read what you want, watch what you want, and say what you want. if i think that the president is an idiot who is just out to let the rich get richer while walking on the poor then that is my god given right as an american. america is the place that gives every citizen the right to dream and improve their lives. god bless america, land that i love!!!!!!
