Books were shipped all the way from London

the meter is a bit strange on those first two lines

I’d work on them first - maybe for one thing they don’t have to end with “books” and “London”

It’s weird to have one line end with books and the next line begin with books

i got it all done:

First a small reference room
Now a national library
It started out with just one volume
Probably carries one of the president’s diary

To get more information
London shipped over some books
It helped the knowledge of nation
And got a lot of people hooked

In 1886, Congress to make some more room
So they added to the Library of Congress
The main entrance contained the Court of Neptune
This made the great hall famous

The Library was built for the public
It contains some many books, papers and maps that are classic
