I am desperate and need some help.

My husband of 31 years passed away after a long illness in Oct. 23 2007. He was only 54 years old. A few days after his death I had a heart attack due to the stress of it all. I am only working part time and should be getting notice soon whether I have been accepted for Social Security/ Disability Widows benefits. In the mean time, I have been getting numerous phone calls from debt collectors for money I don’t have. Just today, I received a phone call from my mortgage company telling me to put the house up for sale so it won’t go up for forclosure.

I have contacted Consumer Credit services in my area today, and hopefully they can help me.

Does anybody else know what what else I can do? I am a wreck and cannot stop crying. My kids are all grown and can only help me so much.

Well I hate to say this but unfortunately things happen that are out of our control. The only thing I know is that you could file bankruptcy as far as the creditors. But the situation with your house is a problem. I wish I could help you more but that is all I know. You could search different organizations sometimes they will be able to help like habitat for humanity. With God everything is possible. God Bless your Family and I hope and pray that everything works out well for you.

i am so sorry to hear what you are going through i know is not easy me and my family are having such a hardtime can’t eve gets all the bills paid each month see me and my daughter are disabled my mom lives with us she has serve arthrutus and she is retired and my boyfriend was in a car accident lastyear and messed up his back and he can no longer work he applied for disability so that is in the process so he has had no income for a year and things are only getting worse do you chat on a messenger on the net or go into chat room i have my own room on paltalk.
