for most people this doesnt seem like a big deal but it is to me.

there is this guy and we have been friends since last year, we ate lunch together and i thought we were true friends…and nothing more.
but then at the beginning of this year one of his big mouth friends told me that he used to like me. which kind of took me by suprise ( i know im an idiot for not seeing it in the first place).
Well it kind of made me very nervous and insecure….more then usual. and i guess he kinda saw a change in me and we have drifted apart not a little but alot and no i dont think he likes me anymore.
well now this year i guess i started to miss him, since we never hung out anymore and grew to like him
now he asked me a couple weeks ago who i liked and i havent told him til today but i lied and said sum other guys name… i feel bad. horrible. I dont lie. i hate lying.
well i just had to get it out there
and if your wundering why i wont date him its cuz i cant date…at all
yea……psssh those teenagers, is probably what your thinking

So you told him a different name because you’re not allowed to date? Although i wouldn’t have done that, I think in reconciling thing with him, you need to tell him that you lied and why you did it. Hopefully he’ll forgive you.

I’m a true believer in honesty as well, as cliche as it sounds. A lot of problems could actually be solved if people were more honest with each other. Of course, it can get you into trouble sometimes, but I think you feel lighter in the long run.

so write him a note.. let him know how you feel.. feeling awkward is going to keep this feeling up if you dont let him know. and once you guys know the truth about you each liking each other.. it will only get easier.
