god help: is god real or is it all a lie? - Help.com

believe me, it’s not a lie.
there’s just way too much of it to be a lie.

I have found that God is real, but everybody has to discover that for themselves, just because I say that he’s real doesn’t mean that everyone is going to agree. We all just have to search it out ourselves, a good place to start is praying.

i guess it depends on what you believe in.
i believe that god is real.
but of course, other religions will disagree with me.
really, no one will know the absolute truth until the end.

He is Real, Too many spiritual experiences and if you would ask around you would not beleive how hard God is working in each and every one of our lives and just how many of us have experiences. He is always with you, it is you that must choose to go to him as this is the free will he has given us. Dont expect God to be in your life unless you ask him and have a true heart when you ask. Seek and you shall find, You only need the faith of a mustard seed.

not real. i believe god is something that humans have invented, mainly as a means of solace/comfort, because life is miserable and death is terrifying. then again its impossible to prove he DOESN’T exist.

everyone has there own beliefs though, so to each his own :)

As you can see… there are mixed feelings about God and weather he exists. Everyone has their own beliefs and have had their own experiences to decide weather they want to believe or not. If they do believe, they might not even believe in the same God.

You have to answer your own question. If you believe theres some force out there controlling all of life, you should probably figure out what force YOU believe that is. If not, I dont think it would hurt much to figure why you believe in nothing. Nor do I think it would hurt to listen and respect other religions.

Lie

Well for starters its not a lie, but that doesn’t necessarily mean its real either. People who tell you to believe in go aren’t lying, they believe in him themselves. Personally i go for the old watchmaker argument myself. Ie just as the existence of a watch implies the existence of a watchmaker, the existence of our universe implies a creator.

God is real inside all of us. We just have to believe and have faith. God is a state of mind and a hope and spirit within all of us.

The question should be does LOVE exist, for God is Love. The word God doesn’t mean God just like the word love doesn’t mean love. Love is an action word and you will never truly feel love unless you can freely give love to everything and everyone. I always thought that other people and things were supposed to make me feel loved, but I had it backwards the only way to feel loved is to show everything love. What’s good is God and what not is not. Instead of wondering if God is real start noticing all of the good that God has created and you will see, know, and feel that God exists. God put enough food, water, and shelter on this earth for every man women and child, it is greed and ignorance that is plaguing our world. I Love You

Is there something going on that would make you question wether there is a God or not?
IF you want to know this question, you are welcome to go to the source. That is the best way because as you can see everyone has thier own truths, unless we know right from the source anything we can surmise is purely rumor, or conjecture. We take bits and pieces of God and try to fit it in with our lifestyle, and make it fit, and if it doesn’t then we simply toss out any idea or concept of God out the window.

If this is a genuine question in your heart, God Himself will reveal the answer to you. All you need to do is ask in prayer.

I stand in agreement with you on this question and ask God to reveal Himself to you in a way that you know it is He who speaks to you, and I pray that God will send His Holy Spirit to you to comfort you and to lead you to God’s truth, not man’s.

I have to agree with Dani. I believe, but I’m not going to tell anyone else they have to or don’t have to. That’s not my place to do so.

Exactly, it’s a freewill choice that everybody gets to decide on their own.

Hiyas, I guess I got your attention. I hope you are not ready for a fight, because I didn’t intent to cause alarm, and I do not want to take away from this post… but I was trying to say that although we are all created by God, we are all not considered God’s children. Those whose hearts have been hardened to hearing the word of God and accepting the free gift from God ( Jesus dying on the cross) cannot understand the ways and reasonings of a Christian.

It may seem like we are unfair because some of us speak more boldly than others but it is only because we know that God is very real, and He can be real for those who have yet to believe.

It is unfortunate that many people have had the experience of Christians shoving thier beliefs down the non believer’s throat, but I assure you that not all of us are like that. Many of us do use the word Please, because we are coming from a place in our hearts of non judgment and out of love and kindness…

My words perhaps caused you offence, for that I am sorry, but with the statement I made I am reminded that I once had the father of lies as my source of encouragement. Without realizing it, I lived my life in darkness and in shadow and didn’t want to hear the message of God and turned my heart and ears away from it. From your words, I understand that you think I stand above you in judgment. I do not. I am just like you, the only difference is that I know God, and you have yet to know Him… the choice is always up to you… and because I do now know God, He has shown me He is real and not a lie, it is easier to believe and rely on oneself that to rely on the comfort of God, someone we cannot see…

If you do not recognize God then I suspect you do not recognize satan either… ( God refers to him as the father of lies… He was an angel, one of God’s most beloved angels, in control of music, and he became so full of pride and wanted to become god like, in fact wanted to become God… his heart is forever sealed against God and what better way to hurt God than to hurt those that God created… He steals us away from God by convincing us there is no God, convincing us that self reliance is the key to life and where we go in the end when we die, just doesn’t matter, it’s insignificant and living in the here and now is what matters. Live life to the fullest and the most outrageous as you can because were all going to be dust in the end…)

You speak eloquently about wisdoms our Father has placed in your heart and mind. After experiencing a few hard knocks in here your words are like a ‘breath of fresh air’ to me which, I appreciate much more than you’ll ever know.

Is there a Zeus? A Thor? An Anubus? A Ra? An Athena? A Baäl? Now someone (among many) has asked “Is there a God?” Which god or goddess? Where did it come from? Who made the maker? Why should it care about this speck in the universe we call our home planet? Why should we care for it?
Theists have a tendency to be what people call “good.” Atheists tend to be what we call “good.” I think people generally in an enviorment with enough food, water, sanitation, etc are good. Can we not just be happy that people are generally moral and corteous because we have been raised in a civilized society and that moral consensus has come to us through years of revision and natural selection? Rather than believing a supernatural being in the sky or in one of our vital organs did it? Look at the world around you. There is so much to it, what do you even need after your life is over? While I disagree with certain beliefs people hold, however, I respect everyone’s right to speak. I welcome civil disagreement and those who concur.
Epicurus said it best: “When death is we are not, when we are death is not.” The Riddle of Epicurus, on the Problem of Evil is worth reading as well.
I believe nothing happens when we die, but that just makes life more precious. I do not agree with any supernatural beliefs and I do not like some things I have found in the bible such as Leviticus 20:9 or Psalms 137:9. I mention the bible because I am guessing the original poster and many of you were referring to the Judeo-Christian god. All the so-called holy books have nice parts and harsh parts, so I am not bashing Christianity or any particular belief.
To answer the original question, yes I am almost certain it is a lie. I could be wrong. Anyone could be wrong.

Kool guy. Its the truth that there is one and only one God who has his followers/servants on Earth in the form of humans and most importantly in His house - Heaven, in the form of Angels. You do not have to see to believe in as much as you cannot see the air that you breathe.
I saw that another question you ask is that why is school so boring? Let me ask you why is it that in this modern society we allow so many irrelevant things entertain us like puppets on strings. . you see there is only so much that people have to experience before they figure out what is the answer to all these questions you and myself and more of us ask. Its all part of a big picture of which comes together when you read written texts quoting our Lord the Christ. None of which we should fear though if you believe and follow humbly to His teachings my friend.
