computer help: i just bought Lord of the Rings Battle For Middle Earth 2 for the pc. - Help.com

i just bought Lord of the Rings Battle For Middle Earth 2 for the pc.

I have installed the necessary patch 1.06 to play online, however, whenever i go to the “online” tab to play online it still says i must install the patch. Then when i click “ok” to install the patch it says “Must need administrative rights” to play. i have a vista computer maybe that is the reason. But i don’t know, help me!

Vista. It’s because Vista is so uncompatible with EVERYTHING that it’s not even funny.

Try Right clicking on the ICON on your desktop for LOTR…and run the game in computer administrative mode…you just click and the comp will give you the option..Run as administator..Now that you have the game in C.A.M (run the patch update) This is the best advise I can give, this does’nt always work but sometimes it will..I have alot of problems getting patches to work with mine too…

i try that and it doesn’t work i guess we have to wait for a patch to fix the vista problem
