I want to help, but your grammer is atrocious. That means I can’t hardly understand your worksheet. Perhaps if you copied it word-for-word, I could help.

ok these parenthesis are asking you to put the present tense of the verb into the line _____. For example finally(to hang)____________ some awesome soccer posters on the wall. Hung

im sorry not present tense. The narrator of this passage is telling a story about redecorating a room so the verbs will be past tense.

No, I understand what I’m supposed to do, but I can’t understand what their worksheet says to help them. Unless of course you are infact talking to sweet girl, in which case go ahead.

You’re required to use the modal verb would + bare infinitive, this way:

I would change just a thing or two. First of all, I would put horizontal blinds on the windows isntead of the lace curtains and I would put the double bed.

blah blah blah, understand it?

it is the perfect room.well,almost..
I(to change)__________just a thing or two .
first of all ,I(to put)_________horizontal blinds on the windows instead of the lace curtains and I (To Put)________the double bed.the way there (to be )_____more room.and other things i(to get rid of )________the sunny yellow walls.A darker colour (to give)__________the room more pizzazz.olive green(to be)__________ a good choice.and while we’re at it , I ( to also like)_______replace the flowery compforter and matching dust ruffle with something less gaudly.Vertical stripers(to look)________classy.The I(to paint)____________the desk and the nightstand bright, and I ( to add)___________a tall narrow bookcase over there in the corner.finally(to hang)____________some awesome soccer posters on the wall.as i say,the room(to be)_____alomost perfect the way it was !

Let me first explain why I am going to give you the answers. Sometimes when learning another language repetitive action is the best. So study the reason why I used these words.

It is the perfect room. Well, almost.. I CHANGED just a thing or two. (Past tense of the verb “to change”)

First of all, I PUT horizontal blinds on the windows instead of the laced curtains.

I PUT the double bed the way there WAS more room. (WAS is passed tense of “be”. I WAS, you WERE, he/she/it WAS, they WERE, we all WERE)

Other things, I GOT RID OF the sunny yellow walls. (This is the one I can’t really help with.)

A darker colour GAVE the room more pizzaz.

Olive green WAS a good choice. (Remember, “olive green” is an “it”, therefore you conjugate “it was”.)

And while we’re at it, I ( to also like)_______replace the flowery compforter and matching dust ruffle with something less gaudly. (Here again I am no help. “replace” is a present tense verb already. I would re-write this sentence as “While we were at it, I replaced the flowery comforter and matching dust ruffle with something less gaudy.”)

Vertical stripes LOOKED classy.

The I PAINTED the desk and the nightstand bright, and I ADDED a tall narrow bookcase over there in the corner.

Finally I HUNG some awesome soccer posters on the wall. As I SAID, the room WAS almost perfect the way it was!

This passage had a few small grammatical errors, but overall was okay. Remember that in MOST cases, the past tense of an English verb (action word) ends in “ED”

to want-WANTED
to change-CHANGED
to add-ADDED
to paint-PAINTED
to look-LOOKED (look means to physically look at something, or to “appear to be”.)

Irregular verbs in this passage are:

to get-GOT
to hang-HUNG
to be-WAS, WERE
to say-SAID
to give-GAVE
to put-PUT

English is a lot more about memorization than most other languages. I remember conjugating Spanish verbs, and that was a lot easier than this was.
