Do you ever just feel alone, even when you know you are not?

I have people who care about me, and yet I just feel so alone. I just feel so disconnected lately.

It is even harder at night, when you can’t sleep, everybody you know is asleep, and it takes everything to keep from tears. I talk to people on here, but it just isn’t the same, you can’t hear their voice, you can’t see there face, they don’t know you. You don’t know them, and I still fell alone.

I don’t like night, it is when I get sad, when I get suicidal urges, when I feel alone, when I cry. Night is what hurts me, it is when I break down.

American whiskey. Yummy and good for you. Just don’t drink too much. Then you’ll REALLY feel depressed and alone in the morning. :)

I always get that feeling. Quite a detached feeling from other people.

And drinking is terrible when you feel down. Don’t do it children!

yes i feel the same way; i have friends and family who all love me but i dunno… i just feel so empty inside at the moment.
i kinda feel like i have isolated myself from everyone around me, i still see & talk to everyone but its like different, i feel disconnected from them too.
i just feel so empty all the time & i feel like i am walking around with a smile on my face and happy on the outside, but on the inside i am screaming and crying and hating myself. how do u get rid of the emptyness?

I am 17 and for most teenagers where I live that is the time in their life where they have to go out partying and do all sorts of unmentionable things. I don’t fit in with them and I doubt I ever will. It was so nice to stumble across this page and realize I am not the only one ou there who is isolated from everyone around me. Perhaphs what has isolated us from other people will be the thing that brings us together. Hope so anyways because I haven’t had a friend I could talk to all my life.
