Ok so for those who have read some of my advice to other people on this website, you will have noticed that I love using quotes. I’m not religious but quotes are kinda like a bible to me in someways cos over the years I have collected some really pretty quotes & I believe there is a quote for basically every problem! All that inspirationaly stuff can be quite effective - yea a bit lame in someways, but im hoping there is someone out there who loves quotes n proverbs too….

So I thought, why not start a QUOTES POST?
If you have some quotes you like then pls reply to this post and tell me why you like your quote!
I’ll start off…

I love this quote because its simple but so completely & utterly true.
I don’t understand why some people may go out of their way to be rude to someone for no reason. It doesn’t take much to smile at someone as you walk down the street, or walk down the corridor at school yet this doesn’t happen much these days. I dunno, maybe I am just caught up in my own body image problems so I am just being silly, but sometimes it would be nice for someone to just acknoweledge me! Sometimes I feel so alone and self conscious. I think sometimes people forget how it can be the small things that make such a big difference. I’m forever hating myself, and am so unhappy at the moment. At school although I’ll be quite, it’s like I’m screaming inside, trapped & unable to be free and be happy.

I feel like I need someone to just pull me aside, give me a hug and say; “it’s ok, everythings going to be ok, you’re not alone. I’m here and I care..”

Can anyone relate to this at all?
I’m so messed up & confused.

that reminds me of a joke.
There’s this engineer walking along and sees this frog.
And this frog says “if you kiss me I’ll be your princess”.
So he picks up the frog and puts it in his pocket. A little while later the frog says” if you kiss me I’ll be your princess and stay with you for a whole week”. Engineer takes the frog out and looks at it and puts it back in his pocket.
A little while later the frog says” if you kiss me I’ll be your princess and I’ll do whatever you want”.
Engineer says nothing.
A little while later the frog says,” what’s the matter with you I told you if you kiss me, I’ll be your princess, I’ll stay with you for a week and do whatever you want.”
The engineer takes the frog out of his pocket and says “I’m an engineer, I don’t have time for a girlfriend, but now a talking frog that’s something”

Straight translation. Icelandic quote :) I just think it’s funny in english. You say it when something is obvious to you. “It lies in the eyes upstairs that you have not eaten all day”

This is something from a song I heard the other day. Just struck me down… amazing line:
“My heart’s crippled by the vein that I keep on closing”
