There is a lot of help available. Here are a few questions. Is your fiance the father of your 2 year old child? If so, then do you have a custody agreement with him that may state where you are able to move to? Where are you living now? Start with the department of social services. See what assistance they are going to be able to provide. You may qualify for subsidized housing. This would mean your rent would be based specifically off your income. Outside of that, they will give you a list of different agencies and programs that may help you out.

yes my fiance is the father of the child. But I am concerned weather or not I might benefit more from not working than working. This is based on the issue that for most cases in this state fl you need to make under 19.000 to cualify for help. What makes me mad is that I have a BA and half a Masters, but can’t find a job that pays enough to support a single parent. I will try to find out about the housing, but if I sent the kid’s father to cort does he not need to help provide a shelter for his child, like help me pay rent?
