What is it about your personality that you think makes it difficult for people to be friends with you?

This is hard to do–and please don’t take it as a personal criticism because I don’t KNOW you–but if I were you I would try very hard to stop thinking about myself and my personality, and start thinking about other people and other interests. Do volunteer work, join clubs, play sports if you like, tutor others in the skills you are good at, take part in community efforts to ease other people’s pain. By taking the focus off yourself, you stop worrying about how you are presenting yourself, and by helping other people you will become happier and more satisfied, which will be reflected in your personality. Plus you’ll be working alongside people who care about similar things, which is a really great way to make friends.

It’s smart of you to ask how you change the situation, rather than blaming other people or just waiting for a miracle. it’s an important first step.
