Now it will start in the UK of course and then go to Europe then the USA then other places.

Ok so heres how it will get between the UK and the USA:

If anyone could work out how long it would take for this section of the journey (in bits, please!) I would be very welcome

Dover to Calais - 41.95km
Calais to Le Havre - 274km.
Le Havre to Boston - 5,649.49km

Dover to Boston - 6,165.44km. (3,733.4mi)
