How do i cut down songs?

for example i want to put a song as my ringtone on my mobile.. but it has like a 30 second start that i want to get rid of.

How do i cut the start of the song on… do i need a programe on my computer? or is there something i can download that can help me do this?

you could do it with windows built in app “sound recorder” but it is a bit rubbish. depending on file formats, or go to downloaddotcom and search for a trial program or something.

I use Sound Forge, but it’s not cheap. Audacity would work too. Or you can search on google for sound editors.

hey.

i downloaded something called ‘audioblast’ whitch worked great… i cut heaps of songs down…

BUT THEN… i tryed to open it again and the language was all german and wouldnt stop loading for abour 5 mins. so i just closed it and when to click it again and it said it was already running and i cant open it again…

and no i cant get into it at all.. i restarted my computer and it just kept saying it was already running…??

should i just go find another one?

i tryed that audacity one.

but it wouldnt download for some reason..

but i got a new better one now… so its all good.

you can use itunes.
1.right click on the song you want to cut down
2.click get info
3.click on the options tab
4.in there it should say start time and stop time
5.type in the time you want the song to start and stop
6.click ok and it should have worked :)
