You have to go to school, do homework, see friends and go to work.
Shouldn’t be too hard. Getting a job is a good thing for people to do.

i worked part time when i was in high school and i’m very glad i did. you have your own money and it gives you some independence from your parents. it teaches you responsibility, you have to go to work and be on time or you risk getting fired. it also teaches your time management, you have to keep up with you studies, your friends and you job.
i suppose if you’re just looking for disadvantages you could say it takes away from your school work but as long have you manage your time well you won’t have a problem. you could say it takes away from time with your friends but this goes back to the time management issue as well.
if you are looking for a job, make sure you shop around. find a job that will be flexible and work around your schedule.

need a ride, need time away from school, sports, homework, and socializing. i’m lucky enough to have flexible hours, but not all students do. i’ve talked to several kids who fall asleep at work simply because they don’t get enough sleep during the night because of projects and homework they have to do after work. it’s great because you get your own money and learn to manage it, but sometimes to can be stressful. i like having my own job, but i won’t say i’m not jealous of the kids who don’t have to work to get their expenses paid… :)
