Even when you know its over.
Even when you don’t want him back. Even when you are happy with someone else….the memories still ache.
You made me realize how strong I was, You made me realize how deeply and intensly I was capable of loving. You took the breath right out of my lungs and you made the smallest things wonderful.
I won’t mention the other things. The fights that left me crying so hard I thought I would die, the intense roller-coaster of emotion that left me questionig my own sanity. No, I want to remember you….the way you made me laugh, the way you made me feel beautiful and intelligent and amazing. Thank you for that. Thank you so much. I will always treasure that. I will always treasure you.
Now please, take a deep breath with me……Remember the moment we met, the moment we kissed. Remember how everyone else in the room disapeared when we were in each others prescence. Remember the laughter and the passion…..Now, exhale, and let me go.
