I hate to tell you this but, the church usually tells people not to date outside of their religion/belief system. I think this problem will solve itself, however not in the way you hope.

I’m sorry.

you and the guy need to honestly talk!

bajillions of people go to church but only a percentage take the Bible literally.

Maybe he 100% believes that the world was created in 24 x 7 = # hours, or maybe not.

You have to talk to him about it. You have to talk to ANYONE about it. B/c mabye the next guy doesn’t go to church, but you still think you should pray before Thanksgiving dinner, and he doesn’t. See? You should just talk to him!

Know what is okay, and where you can compromise. Ask him what’s okay and where he can compromise….and then you decide if you are a match.

ie, A. you think it’s possible that evolution is a sound theory, and he thinks the earth is 6k years old, you might have a problem. or B: you think that the words of Jesus convey a truth that transcends rational thought (ie: being kind to our neighbors is always a good thing vs. sometimes proving murder vs. manslaughter is a gray area), and he simply thinks that he wants to live by a certain set of rules that are okay with you? A? I’m guessing you’ll have problems. B? or therabouts, you’re probably fine….as long as you talk to him!
