Love help: I have been working at my local news station for around a month and a half now. - Help.com

I have been working at my local news station for around a month and a half now.

A girl started there about 4 days after i did. I would love to start a relationship with her, but I’m afraid what kind of consequences would come up out of a relationship in the work place… any advice?

take it slow, and if she bites, quit your job before you nail her.

You can always find out what your employer’s policy on dating co-workers is. Some places allow it as long as a supervisor doesn’t date their supervisees.

Don’t do it!! i dated my manager once at a previous job and everybody found out about it and really made it uncomfortable for us… its an awkward situation and has the potential to come off as very unprofessional…. if u choose to pursue her, be VERY RESPECTFUL of each other’s privacy and try to remain appropriate and try to let as few people know about your relationship as possible

well, it’s a VERY laid back job… we’re on the same level of employment, and i don’t think anyone would mind… but yes, if anything does happen, I’ll make sure it’s discreet.

if it’s really laid back then go for it, idk if you should try to keep it under wraps because then everything may get blown out of proportion and it will look much worse than it really is, but just some food for thought.
