I would like to know the name for the space between a person’s nose and lip (the area where a man displays his mustache).

Also, does anyone know the name of the space between a hole in the ground and the pile of dirt that was dug out to create that hole?

not sure it has a technical name, but however the groove that tuns between the nose and lip is called the philtrum.
