Hard to say. Energy can take many forms. There is kinetic energy, thermal energy, potential energy, ect. You are specificly talking about thermal energy. But the fact is the energy will be put in all those different forms so who knows.

Generally though…I would imagine that the earth would heat up quite a bit more. all of that kinetic energy would cause a lot of friction which converts it into heat.
