Where were you?

society is free, but everywhere we are bound in chains
I feel free - and I dont believe every action has a reaction. Especially if you do your action secretly. Why are you bound in chains moody?
Even if you do something in secret. There is still a reaction. Even if it is a internal one that you are unaware of.
Why - who says so?
Oh so Newton is the boss of eberything now is he? The only thing Newton ever done for me was zzzzzzzz. The guy was self-indulgent and his theories are unravelling
All he did was write down what even cavemen knew all along
Eh no - read it again
No I’m talking about the obvious - gravity etc,…… It’s not rocket science to move out of the way of something that’s falling on you
Newton simply put our fight or flight instincts into words. He gave the laws of nature titles and became famous. Personally I prefer the Ancient Greeks .
mas1s, it was supposed to read ‘man is born free but everywhere he is in chains,’ but seeing as that’ pretty sexist, I altered it slightly. It’s a quote from someone I forget, but it was also reiterated by William Blake, you know that airy-fairy poet. He was right though in my opinion.
The Greeks just dressed up the facts so beautifully and made them into a story. It was such a cool way of imparting wisdom. My mum used to read me tales from that era every night. I learned a ton of stuff from it. Had she read newton - zzzzzzzzzzzz
I think what Newton meant was that every action *chooses* to have an equal and opposite reaction.
so you are speaking of the say Socrates, and the Socratic Method of Argument? Which later became known as the Law of Cause and Effect (which in my opinion is pretty much the same thing as every action has a reaction).
i mean, “freely chooses, with complete free will”
I suppose the ifference between us is that you actually do wish to know. Mind you my sister-in-law never reads the paper or watches the news. She couldnt even tell you if there was a war on or where. This astounds me as I am a bit of a news junkie.
Yippeee Sarah and I agree lol
