Just stop. There is someone better out there for you.If you feel like calling him remind yourself of all the wrong things he did to you.Write it down somewhere if you have a problem with that and read it when you start to feel like calling him.You deserve better.

I have been through this and in a way you’re lucky he’s in a different country - at least you’re not trying to get over him whilst bumping into him all the time! Just get on with your life and have as much fun as you can meeting new people and doing new things without him getting in the way of it. Remind yourself how lucky you are to have nobody to answer to - you’re young, free and single. It’s fabulous!

You just have to make the decision to really “let go”, which obviously you aren’t if you still keep calling him. There’s no easy way to get over a relationship, unfortunately… the urge to just run back to it, even if it’s not a wise idea, is tremendous. It’s because it was more comfortable than facing an unknown future. But you can and you should let this guy go now. Just allow yourself the time it takes to feel bad about the loss, but keep yourself busy with other things as much as you can and try hard not to dwell on him anymore. Stop yourself from thinking about him. Time will definitely heal… but you first have to decide to separate yourself from the situation and stop going backward and calling him. Write your feelings in a journal when you feel very emotional, let them out… but then get back to keeping yourself busy and don’t dwell. You will get past this, and eventually you will be open to new people and someone who will be better for you.
