Experiance or Degree?

Hey, I want to get into the I.T. industry, what would be more important? a bachelor of whatever or experiance in whatever field i want, I already have a diploma.

I would say degree would help you out more in getting a big job, but if you are truly passionate about the work, try going into the field now. If it doesnt work out, you can always go back and get a degree.

Education doesn’t weigh anything to carry around with you, and it counts more in a glance through of a resume.

Go with the degree and if you want to get field experience as well than work a side job or else see if the university you end up at has any programs, opportunities, or positions that would allow you to gain the experience. Like being a lab tech or something.

hmmmm ok. Then again full time job with money sounds kinda appealing over paying another 5 grand a year for more education.

Yes but a degree will get you higher jobs, but experience won’t. I mean you can keep a lower job with experience but to get a higher job a degree is required usually in most fields.

hmmm, thats silly, education is a waste of time i know more then my teachers normally is it possible to get a certificate by doing a test without the months of ardous sitting around pretending to learn?

You can’t get the entire degree or certification through a test but you can skip parts of it. Testing out of classes is a common thing in college, and I’m sure if you wanted to and think you can you can test out of most of the classes required for some majors. depends on what you go for.
