I have a 2004 mitubishi lancer and there is squeaking noise comming from the spring behind the rear wheel on the drivers side.

Has any 1 any ideas on how to fix it or what it could be??

It might be time to change your brake pads. When that noise starts it usually means your brakes are wearing out and your brake drums might be rubbing against the metal on your brake pads and you are down to the bare minimum on your brake shoes. Have it checked out by a competent mechanic that you trust and ask him to show you. It may cost you between $100 to $300 to fix.

Shocks will run you between $150 to $450.00. Again talk to a mechanic that you trust so you won’t ripped off. If it’s only that one shock it’s about $75 to $150.00 unless both of your rear shocks need to be replaced for even wear and tear. Your mechanic is your best source of information on this.
