Day help: i worked for allied barton security for almost 5 years. - Help.com

i worked for allied barton security for almost 5 years.

they say they offer benefits like vacation time and 401k plan well i received 2 days for vacation but they took 1 back i never got into the 401k plan they always said it was to late i missed the sign up date. my problem now is that in Oct 2007 i fell forward onto my hands with both knees slamming into a concrete barrier. i really injured my left knee and my lower back. i took off 5 days with 2 of them being my regular days off. the workmen comp people said i needed to take off at least 7 days to receive payment. i was sent back to work by the worknet doctor. i went to work in excruciating pain believing that once i see a doctor and he sees how swollen my leg was, take an mri or something that i will get treatment, not the case, i did see another doctor in DEC. he was so old he kept asking me what he was treating me for. at work i was treated like a thief and a Lie i was told by my supervisor that all of the information in my files were missing and since it was mine that i must have taken them. i was told that i did not fall at the job because they didn’t have it on tape and when i reviewed the tape you did not see me fall, 24 seconds was missing right at the time i started to fall, i found out that the supervisor had told every co-worker that i was lying. me falling was not denied by allied they did deny treatment for my left leg they wanted to treat the right and they refuse to treat my lower back. because of this supervisor going to work was a headache he kept trying to get me me off of light duty even though i had notes from my doctors putting me on light duty. by the end of Jan 2008 i was taken out of work by the therapy doctor but the therapist had no clue how to treat people everyone was assigned to the same exercise without any assistance i changed therapy offices i know there are many people who fake injury i am not one of them i want to get by body back to the way it was. well in the mean time i have no income because i can’t work , my mortgage, house bill are all over due, and just recently i found out that my job that i loved is now gone yes, they fired me. i have no food no money and soon if things don’t change will be homeless, i can get help because i have no income. So to those who may injure themselves on the job please take 7 days don’t be like me, i thought i was saving my job by trying to follow all the rules listening to the doctors even though i was really hurt, now I’m in more pain then i ever could have imagine.

It’s hard to read a block of text with no capitals, very long run on sentences and a lack of paragraphs. It seems if the injury happened on the job you should talk to an employment law lawyer.

Click on your state here http://www.hud.gov/local/index.cfm and see if you can get assistance with rent and utility bills…local food banks should not be overlooked either. If there is a way to sell belongings…and I’m talking anyting…try posting them on www.craiglist.org for your area. You could rent out a room if you can spare one…or rent your whole house out and downsize…

These are mostly temporary solutions…I’m not sure what else to add except to talk to your local unemployment office to collect unemployment pay

I have gone to all those that you listed. Most places will not help because i don’t have an income. I started posting things on craigslist, artsite, any site i can find that’s free i have an online store jocashinc.com that isn’t selling any thing, i have tried ebay, i have things lined up on the porch and adds in the local stores. I can’t recieve un-employment they say i owe them money. I have applied for public assistance and am waiting for an appointment with the doctor you have to be disabled to recieve money. Still that 210.00 per month
