work help: I need help choosing an mp3 player. - Help.com

I need help choosing an mp3 player.

I want one that has a lot of space and preferably video. I have a sansa clip and use rhapsody but I don’t know what mp3s work with it besides that brand. The one I have now says it holds about 500 songs, but I’m only able to put about 190 and it doesn’t have video. I don’t like having to delete songs and add more. I know iPod uses iTunes and Zune has its own thing where you purchase individual songs. I would like to transfer my rhapsody music, but I know iPod and Zune wont work with the rhapsody to go. Does anyone know about the Archos 605 WiFi Portable 160GB PMP MP3 Player? I found out that rhapsody has a 30gb one with wifi but I don’t know much about that either. I’m basically looking for one that is reliable and holds a lot of songs. I would prefer one that is compatible with rhapsody or one that would let me transfer those songs to it somehow because I spent a lot of time fixing playlists and choosing my songs. Any suggestions on what would be the best investment?

Sansa is the only brand that I know of that works with Rhapsody. Also, your mp3 only being able to hold 190 songs is due to the quality of the songs. The higher the quality (bit rate) the more space it takes up.

i recommend the Zen.
Does everything an ipod can except it doesnt have games but it also has a microphone which ipods do not have and it’s DJ has more features.
It also costs less than an ipod.

When you install iTunes, (typically) it brings all of the music already on your computer to it. So whatever music you already have from rhapsody, should be transferred. But, before you take my word for it, you could always d/l iTunes for free and check, and if it doesn’t just delete it before buying your mp3 player.
