I feel so lonely at the moment.

I’m at uni and all my friends are working all the time. This also makes me feel bad cos i shud b workin as well but i just don’t have the motivation to because I feel so bad and lonely. Does anyone know any good tips to get people to go out and have fun rather than work all the time?

Yes. Fast for a day. Imagine that you are not going to eat again unless you work. Imagine going to bed hungry every night because you don’t have an income. I am totally serious. Fasting does help to focus one’s thoughts. Keep hydrated, of course. Perhaps you’ve become too comfortable . . . and going without food for 24 hours will make you think about some things. Hunger will also connect you to the material world . . . ultimately we do have to be productive (unless there is a severe disability) if we want to survive. By the way, it’s a well known fact that most people wouldn’t work if they didn’t have to eat and have shelter!

Oh, make sure you love the job if you have one. Because if you do, it would not feel like working! :)

If you want motivation for working I have a bit of advice that may help. If you are talking about uni work then you could always try working with your friends as a group. I find this a great way to work because you can enjoy yourself while you work. Even if you are on different courses it can still add some enjoyment to what you are doing. Do you and your friends do the same course?
I also find that having a part time job helps because when you have finished working you tend to find (well I sometimes do) that your work colleagues will invite you out with them.

Hope that helps :)

Hello i will only tell you that you should try as much as possible to get a job because you need a job to earn a living for your self,if you are able to earn a living, then you will have much money to spend for enjoyment but if you insist on having fun without a job you migth find yourself inferior later. It is an advise.
