I wish I was dead and off she would go

When will she be back, I didn’t know
Mom please don’t go, my little heart said
As she drove away and I laid in bed

Watching as the lights, pulled out of drive
How can she do this I’m only five!
In would come running the two little guys
Where is mom going? Is she still alive?

I’ll protect you I’d say and put them in bed
Go off to sleep, sweet dreams in your head
Go get a knife crawl back in my sack
If someone comes in I’ve got your back

Midnight would come soon it was one
No sign of her yet is she really gone
To scared to get up and look out to see
The monsters will come and who’ll protect me?

The clock would strike two then it was three
No sign of her yet I’m down on my knees
Please bring her back I’d look up and say
Don’t do this God please not this way

Weeping all alone, without making a sound
The tears would come rushing and knock me to the ground
I promise to be good I promise to behave
I promise I’ll do better I’d cry out in a rage

The lights would hit the wall and circle round the room
I can hear the engine she’ll be inside soon
She’d come into my room and I’d pretend to sleep
The door would close behind her and I would take a peak

Finally I’m in dream land, surrounded by the night
Turn into an eagle spread my wings and take flight
Look out over the ocean and I can feel its spray
No that’s actual water she’d wake me up this way

You’re going to be late for school, get your *** out of bed
The lack of sleep and breakfast has got me seeing red
I did the best I could I gave it all I had
I didn’t mean to make you so **** mad

Jump off a bridge she’d say or maybe take some pills
I’ll pay your father child support, the sound still gives me chills
I wish you were never born, I wish you three would die
I wish that I could tell you that this was all a lie
