Does anyone know of any federal grants for college that I could apply for?

I’ve been to FastWeb; didn’t get anything there. I lost my original scholarship due to too much dicking around. I’ve done one grant, but I’m not qualified for it anymore, and I’ve taken out two $1750 loans. I really don’t want to have to pay any more.

Have you filled out your FAFSA?

Yeah, didn’t qualify for anything. Thanks for the effort, though.

You always qualify for loans.

Yeah, I know, but I’d rather not have to pay them back were there an alternative.

I’m pretty sure FAFSA covers all of the federal grants. See if any local organizations have one-time scholarships you could apply for. A lot of civic and social groups have scholarship funds just sitting around because no-one applies for them. If nothing else, just call them and ask. They’re usually pretty small, but even a $200 scholarship is 200 fewer dollars that you have to pay back.
