A guy getting his right ear pierced does not mean he is gay. A guy having sex with another guy does mean he is gay.

Historically, a guy pierced his ear to hold a valuable stone. This was a practice used by seamen and soldiers. The reason behind it was who ever found there body would give them a proper burial and take the earing as payment… I have no idea how or why this became associated with being queer…
