It is necessary to lie a fair amount in your life (white lies mind you) and anyone who says otherwise is simply ignorant of this or a liar. A lie is a willful comment that goes against the knowledge that you believe to be true.

Nope. Its an obstruction of truth, its in the same vein but definitely according to my personal AND the global definition of a “lie”, saying nothing or ommiting the truth is not lying. It could be purgery or false information… but its not a direct lie.

yeah. . . but a lie is also a false statement and by ommiting the truth you are then creating a false statement and or interpretation.
but thats the problem with language lol especially when its an arbitary concept like the truth. there begin to be differant degrees of truth, then the lines starts to be blurred. ulimatley I think truth is one of those grey scales we use to justify who we are to ourselves and other people

I can agree to that, such things are vastly subjective even in their most stringent definitions.
