No traditional help necessary, just updating y’all…

Well, it’s been a good four months since my last “return” here, which turned out to be just a visit. Judging from the past, this will be too.

Since January, I’ve broken up with the girl I was falling in love with then, sworn off dating, and become the **** buddy of two of my female friends - in that order, thank God.

I’ve gained a whole ten pounds of muscle, putting me at just-above-freakishly-thin, and an inch or so of height, putting me at god-I-love-towering-over-people.

I’ve descended into an entirely apathetic view of school, and I’m considering dropping out when I turn 18. I learn more in a single hour of individual research and reflection than I have this entire year in college.

I’ve begun to, for the first time in my life, really love living. No matter how bad my situation, I’ve finally hit that point of optimism and ego where I can go “Wait. I’m Eric. I’ll be fine”. And guess what? I always am. Not worth banking my life on, though.

I’ve taken up yet another fringe sport, abandoned yet more of my old hobbies, spent ever-increasing percentages of my time with friends. I still spend 4 hours a day on the bus, and I still get easily dragged into arguments, but I’ve stopped being so sure that I’m correct.

I’m actually polite once in a while now. I’m still covered in zits and badly dressed. I still annoy the hell out of anyone who expects any sort of respect.

All in all, I’m Eric still. How are you?
