Many people have told me that a way to feel less depressed is to start planning.

Make small but realistic plans to look forward to in the future. For me that has been very helpfull. Do you have any such plans and what are they?

Me I am going on a trip to halifax in three weeks its my first vacation in about two years and im really looking forward to it. !!

You have been given good advice. My therapist taught me that one and I find it works well. Make a list of achievable goals and as you cross them off you feel stronger.

I always have plans, short term, long term, some of my plans are only dreams but if you can dream you never really know what plans may come true:)

To start with, one of my short time goals was to be able to go into one of the local shops. Something very simple that seemed impossible. I was scared that people would ask me how I felt and that I would start crying. Once I achieved that I kept adding simple things to the list, even doing a little gardening or cooking a nice meal, it does not have to be anything big. Small achievements all add up and start restoring your confidence. My big one was getting back to work after a long period of being off ill, that seemed unachievable - but I did it!
