I think you should consider the word ‘demand.’ Perhaps the words ‘may I’ and ‘please’ would be more appropriate. Then consider why you want to spend time with the child. Is it so you can keep track of her while you two have taken leave of each other. Also, consider why you parted. This might reflect somewhat on whether she agrees. If you were absolutely horrid, then I think your on a looser, but if it was simply because you got in each others way and couldn’t get along, then asking can’t help. what you must not do, is expect to be told you can. This is her child and she has the right to give anyone she sees fit access. Unfortunately she may decide you are not fit. Dopn’t take these words badly, but if you two have been yelling and there have been mood swings, she may decide that it is not very beneficial to her child. You know what has gone on and can judge, and judge clearly mind, whether under the circumstances, you would let you if you were her. I also wonder if a break from the child would be beneficial to all three of you, if or when, you get back together. Hope this helps.

I think that would be a good thing… I’m sure the child is missing you too!! Perhaps you shouldn’t “demand” though, but try to request this in a calm, rational way so she’s not as likely to say no…. reason with her, don’t seem too demanding or she might just pull back! I’m sure she’ll see your point of view if you try to reason it out with her… and surely she realizes the child is missing you too.
