I’ve never been USA but seen the whole of most of rest of world. Went travelling in my late teens and wandered around for best part of 8 years

That is sooooo cool. The thing about being over there is that you so many cultures within such a close proximity, I have always wanted to come to UK, and then use it as a springboard into Europe. I’d really like to see anything that had to do with WWII, from what I have heard, they are still finding unexploded ordnance in fields, construction sites, etc.

I went to Arnhem and all around Holland / Germany where the big battles were - its quite humbling but nothing compares to Auschwitz

Oh, Lord! I can hardly imagine! I see tv programs and when they show concentration camps, especially Auschwitz, in modern day, it makes me get weak kneed and teary eyed, I can’t even begin to fathom.
I would love to see where Anne Frank stayed in Amsterdam, that would be awesome…..

I went there - it made more even more sad than the concentration camps, I think it’s because we grew up ‘knowing’ her thru her diaries

Wow! It’s hard to believe how well she did considering her circumstances, of course I’m sure she didn’t put all of her hard times in there, I guess anyway. She is someone that I can say I felt like I knew her, but only in a dream, weird.
I had my two oldest kids read it a couple years ago, it was so powerful to me that I had to have them read it.

Tell you where is beautiful - Greece - I spent a year there - picking oranges. The food, the history, everthing - love that place
