i am in exactly the same thing you are in.

Try going to tutoring and mastering the subjects you are taught and shove in everybody’s faces when you do better. Teacher will treat you better and respect you more due to your ’sudden” adormement for their subject. Just don’t give up and give your nose clean.

When I was in engineering school I was rewarded for doing a bad job.
I handed in an important technical paper one week past the deadline.
I was surprised to receive a mark one week later of 98%.
The highest mark I’ve ever received in school.
I was also surprised by the professor pointing out to the class
that this was one of the best reports he’d ever seen
and they should look at it.Many of the students were pissed because
I received such a high mark after handing in late.
The professors point of view was that I could not help the fact
that my experiment was a failure. We learn by failure.

Just stop trying to improve your personal life and listen intensly to what the teacher says and write evrrything into a comp book. Then once you get home look at all the notes and push them into your head. You say that “I just don’t care”, learn to care and try to find something in yourself that does care. Your future is all dependent on what you do now,

What are you studding and what is the reason you are doing badly? Do you dislike the subject matter or are you just not smart enough?

No I am very intelligent I am on an academic scholarship. I was a straight A, B student all through high school and first semester of college. I still have my academic scholarship. I am a junior. I am just tired of school and I dont know what to do with my life. I know I need an education that is why I am still hanging on.

Im doing this right now too. I get overworked and overwhelmed and instead of handing in a crappy paper Id rather hand in nothing at all, so I get behind and it gets worse. You say you dont care, but you really do. If you’re posting this asking for help then you do care, even just a little bit, so you arent hopeless.

Its hard to find motivation for anything, I like to just sleep all the time. But we cant do this. Im hoping a some help or inspiration will come my way, but things arent always that easy. And it will feel much better if you pull yourself up rather than have someone else do it for you. School shouldnt be this stressful, there are more important things in life, but an education is necessary thats true. Maybe tommorrow you need to just start over think as positive as you can, I think I might do that, do your work from now on out, concentrate and work hard, its hard to find motivation, but at least you know that you need to do this you cant fail, think of how good it will feel to do well, how accomplished you’ll feel, you can overcome this, I dont even know you but you care the smallest bit and that bit could just be enough.

listen sometimes to much education is the death of so many people .Look at Iraq more then a hundred top brains from all over America worked on the beginning of the war .how to bomb, how to capture Saddam ,how to eliminate the opposition and if i were the Judge and had all these 100 top brains in front of me i would give them the marching order not to come back to school and get a pick and Shovel job

all everyone has said is interesting. everyone’s points of view are all pecuilar (dont think i spelt that right). Just reask yourself what you truly want. A good career, alot of money, a planned out life, etc. Everyone wants something for them. Find out how to get that something, what steps are needed and then go for it. If in the long run you don’t need school for what you want to do with the rest of your life then quit, if you need (and i use that word loosely) some school then tough it out and get it done, otherwise give up go in a gutter and die. In the end we walk, we run, we skip, we jump, but ultimately we decide.

Your exam is well and truly over - I hope it went better than you feared, but I wanted to post a comment anyway. It sounds as though you DO care, given the emotion invested in your comments. Perhaps you’re just angry at yourself for not doing enough, but don’t worry about it. The ‘I don’t care’ assertion is a coping technique. The thing is, even in the worst case scenario, you fail, and so what? Of course it’s a great feeling to have done a good essay or prepared well for an exam (or anything else in life) but we all have times (sometimes years in a row like me!) where we really stuff up and seem to go backwards. You’ll probably make the same mistake again too, but this doesn’t make you a bad person. When you’re really into something, you’ll probably do a much better job at it - just keep a look out for that and do your best in the meantime. Today is always a good day to do a little something to improve matters. Good luck, I hope you’re not beating yourself up too much over this. It’s never to early to start afresh - but it’s hardly ever too later either ;)
