friends help: Question?

I live in a Small Town and today I talked to some friends who came back home for a visit..They asked me how do I stay here and I couldn’t give them an answer except family. I don’t mind being different but it’s never easy. As most of you know I’m 27 problem is my aquintances my age and younger live in/on there own planet. They created a world full of drama for themselves they might have a baby daddy or daddies, Gambling, drinking, or want to sleep with the whole county, or other issues. I stay at home and don’t go out much because it’s always the same people there along with their drama..I work and work then come home, my best friend is in another state too far away and she works just as much…. I don’t want to move and I don’t know if that will fix my problem. I hang out with my family but their starting to feel just as bored and unmotivated..

Since writing this post I didn't like my Scr may have helped people, but has not within the last 4 days. I didn't like my Scr is a verified member, has been around for 3 months, 1 week and has 7 posts and 143 replies to their name.

Thanks I thought about it I moved closed to DC once and well that big city life is a bit much is there a happy medium.

Well I have my good and bad days but for the most part I THINK — lol I’m doing okay…

Very Very true It was driving in traffic and waiting 3 to four hours to get where you needed to go. I Lived in northern VA in Herndon and when I had to go to work especially in DC Traffic was awful and Darn those traffic cams… I liked Northern Va but it was so expensive even with a roomate it was still a bit much had a good job too..

well, as you know we’re close.
When I was younger, I used to think when i hit 18 i’m outta here. But as I got older, and see my friends actually moved, i decided this wasn’t such a bad place after all. My friends don’t seem to happy, must not of been they all moved back to delaware.

I always wanted to move to the city but i think thats too fast paced for me, I like the chickens and the beach, besides in 10 years or so this place will be a city with all the tourists making it home.

yup dani I feel the same way, besides family those are probably the other reasons why I like it here.. But my really good friends haven’t moved back home yet…. They come to visit but most of them have good jobs that they can’t get here so they won’t be back anytime soon unless something happens. Plus I’m single and I don’t like mingle with the guys that I know!!!!

Really, it sounds like you are just much more mature and stable than those acquaintances of yours are!! I don’t see anything wrong with that, or with staying in your own town for that matter. All that really matters is if it bothers you. There’s no need to compare yourself to others. I’m different (eccentric) too, but I’ve come to accept that about myself!! Be true to yourself… it’s absolutely the best person to be!! :) I’m still in the town I grew up in too, for that matter… and I’m pretty much a homebody as well! I don’t think you’re missing anything worthwhile as far as the drama your friends seem to be into… just my opinion!! Obviously you feel that way too… nothing wrong with that at all!

well cat and dani I guess I need to quit whining and just deal with it.. I’ll probably drop off for tonight pretty soon So I can start tommorrows work. I’m going to go to the beach and watch waves the dogs haven’t been for a swim in awhile. I guess I should go before all the tourist come.
