I found myself here at Help.com after being frustrated and then typing “I need help!

” in my search browser. If nothing comes of this, I decided I will just be grateful for the opportunity to rant and rave. It all started when I lost my job of two years a few days ago. I had been on L&I since January after slipping on ice and breaking bones in my foot and stretching ligaments. I was released to go back to work and my boss said business is so slow that he can’t afford me! BAM! I am out of a job and my $1400 mortgage is due and no forseeable income. I contacted unemployment, they said I am in the waiting period. I contacted DSHS and got lots of food stamps. I am just screwed! I need a job and there is not much in my area in my skill set that pays what I need. Thinking about selling my home, thinking about moving to another state with a lower standard of living. I can’t find any local resources to even help with utilities! If any one out there has an idea that doesn’t involve internet scams or work from home schemes I would appreciate any ideas. I just need help!!

If you are in USA that a real NO scam at home job. Might suck listening to people in your ear for hours complaining. But the money is better than no money.

I checked it out and it definately seems on the up and up. I am not sure it would work for me as the site stated I could make between $7 and $9 an hour depending on committment. I would recommend it to anyone that would benefit from that wage. Unfortunately tht would not assist me much at this time and present circumtances. I was doing well and …. you just never know how far away from losing everything you really are! This is all very scary and I worry for my family that depends on me.

Money is money… even a little is better than nothing!! Take whatever you can get under these circumstances!!

In the meantime, call the people you owe money to and at least fill them in on what’s happening, that you’re waiting on unemployment, and promise to pay as soon as you possibly can.

I wish you the best.

There are more and more people who are finding themselves in this predicament.

What would you like to do for a living? Ever think of starting your own business?

North Dakota is a state that has a pretty low cost of living. The winters are getting milder and you could stretch your dollar. Plus they have a very good social services program that can help with a lot of problems.

I am just throwing things out there for you. With a $1400 a month mortgage I think your chances of finding help for that are not very good. There are lots of job openings here we are growing at an unbelievable rate because of the oil fields in western ND. Give me a shout if you are interested.

I am actually thinking of moving farther “inland”. Sounds weird, but, I have dreams about NW coast having the “big” earthquake and I have learned to pay attention to my dreams! I was thinking northeast Montana but heck, ND right next door! What cities are having growth right now? I would like to check jobboards and area costs of living. Tell me all you can, I am interested. Thanks!

Dickinson, Williston, are two of the big ones. The oil fields are hiring everyone away from their lower paying jobs and leaving vacancies all over the place. Bismarck is also growing at an alarming rate. Bismarck has two super walmarts within 5 miles of each other. I still can’t figure that one out. I live 60 miles NW of Bismarck and you can still buy a house for $20,000 - $50,000 here. Bismarck is $70,000 - $500,000 and up. It all depends on what kind of lifestyle you want.

For 10 years now I have been an executive assistant making about $40,000 a year. I don’t expect that from where ever I go if the cost of living is lower than the Seattle area. I heard we are ranked 5th in the nation for high cost of living. Thanks for the city names and maybe we will talk again!
