i have been a pretty crummy son lately.

i hug my Mom and i worry about my Dad. i love them very much. i just noticed ive hardly hugged my dad in years. im afraid to tho for some reason. Im not sure how he will react. I dont understand. I just shake his hand.

that’s fine. I don’t remember ever hugging my mom, and it’s been over 10 years since I’ve hugged my dad (even then it was only when saying goodnight).

Shaking his hand is enough, and I have known quite a few people who do that, too.
