life help: Tears dripping from my eyes, - Help.com

This post left anonymously

Tears dripping from my eyes,

With an aching in my heart,
My soul lost in the shadows,
Of a life that’s fallen apart.

It’s strange to feel so empty inside,
Even harder to describe in words,
Incredible thoughts racing through my mind,
Some being completely absurd.

So how does one find reason,
When they’ve forgotten who they even are,
How can one even begin to move on,
When their heart bears so many scars.

That is very thought provoking. Did you quote or write it? I like it either way. If its any indication as to how you are feeling right now in your life I would suggest foregiveness as a starting point. Moving on can only happen when you let go of pain. little by little. Doesn’t mean you forget.

I was looking into the line about heart bearing so many scars - I suppose it was an assumption on my part but it seemed to me the poem was about being hurt by some one and hard to move on. The foregiveness can be for that person or yourself which eever is needed. Foregiveness to me is realizing people do the best they can at the time with the information they have. For instance I forgave my mother cause the anger was eating me up. I have not forgot just decided she is wht she is and made the best decisions she could and just decided it had nothing to do with me anymore and moved on. Thats where your poem put me anyway……

no u are right but at the same time wrong. My heart bares many scars, some left by people as u assumed, and equally enough left by the simple fact of living life. If that makes any sense to you..

it just seems i always make the wrong decisions when at the time i believe they are the right choices to make. They work out for a short time and then everything gets ripped away like it was never meant to be existent in the first place. Y do we live, to build a life worth living, but what happens when the life u built crumbles to ashes. U can not rebuild anything with ash…

The only thing we can affect is the present moment, not the past or the future. yeah, we can plan but only in the present moment can we do anything. I believe everyone has their purpose, we may not always be aware of it and it could simple be to help someone out. I live to enjoy what i do like about this world - the undenyable beauty on this planet, the pure joy of a child, the warm affection of a favorite pet and good food for instance. The only things that affect you negatively are what you let affect/bother you. I tried committing suicide when I was 12 years old. Since then I can only assure you that I am glad I did not succeed. All the places, cultures and people I have now been exposed to give me great peace and joy. We are only human, can only address the present and its our choice how we feel bout things. No ones life is necessarily any different or worse than the next persons - its how you cope and deal with it. do you choose to let it drag you down or learn and move on?

im not suicidal, when it comes to that i am a coward i guess. but it is more for the sake that i do believe that suicide is the ultimate sin that can not be forgiven. but at the same time it makes me feel trapped, living a life i no longer want to live.

Do you like to read? If you have the means I really recommend a book called “A New Earth” By Eckhart Tolle. He really helps step by step on dealing with that constant voice in your head that won’t shut up and contantly reminds you of your misgivings and failures that takes away living life. He is a smart man and the book opened my eyes to what I had been doing to myself to sabotage my life unknowingly. You should try if you are interested in living and enjoying life. It may not be the life you have always known but possibly with a little work a new life you an be proud of. Its sort of metaphysical in its concepts - what you put out in the universe you get back - both negative and positive an how to just be conscious in a new way. I have to go now but i wish you luck and you should think about publihing your poems!! Bye for now from the State of Washington in America.
