Hey, look for help! I’m just learning to cope with some of those difficulties with professional help, and it is working. It’s REALLY working. I was at a VERY bad place a little while ago, but things are slowly getting better.
Don’t feel ashamed to seek professional help. Consulting with a psychiatrist does NOT mean you’re crazy! Don’t wait anymore, please… seek professional help…there IS a way out of this, i can tell you that from my personal experience…

I know how you feel to be fair, Im at that kinda stage myself. Have been for years. Sometimes your fine, the one little thing happens and your right back down again. Im not really sure what to suggest too much, professional help does work but dont use anti-depressants, they dont really work, or havent for me anyway.
You should try talking to friends though. You might be surprised how much they do understand. Saying that I dont myself lol :S I’ve had a pretty…unique life so most people cant identify with it, but you might be surprised, there are lots of people out there who have been through some really tough times. On here for example, just try to find someone you can identify with, and have a talk. It cant help, if even for a short while :)

I think everyone has provided some really GREAT advice. But I think Bega is right - go talk to someone, get some assistance in figuring out what triggers this sort of feeling for you. It may involve, as Druantia8 suggests, doing some journaling and really being aware of what triggers this stuff. It may be that it’s a chemical thing - brains are very delicate and complicated things perhaps it’s stuff that will be addressed through changes to diet or medication or some other way entirely. Just know that regardless of how dark it feels at times - you can change it all, you can stop this cycle. Keep talking!!!

thank you

its triggered by stupid things

for example..i dont have a job and when my bf says to me, oh i have a great job and make good money…it gets set off, because i feel like a loser because nobody will hire me…
it happens alot..sometimes just when i look at myself in the mirror…i just start to hate myself…i think anything could set it off….

ive actually have always been like this…but this is the first time i have ever actually asked for help..so…i guess thats a good step to admit somethings wrong..

To be fair you do sound exactly like me. I only found out about this site the other day, and it was the first time i actually…well…spoke out about how I really feel. I cant look at myself in the mirror at times without thinking ‘oh my ******* god.’
I dont really know what to suggest….but just to let you know that you’re not alone in feeling like you do :) cant say ive encoutered many other people like this, but I at least am the same :)
eacoyle is right, it can be a chemical imbalance but most of the time it is not that alone, it is a combination of that, as well as how your mind has been structured and accustomed to react to various situations and people, and views. You7 just have to…break that cycle. Id suggest trying to take as many other paths as you can other than taking anti-depressants or anything similar. There are many, other, bnetter paths.
Basically yeah. start a journal, it helps to let it all out, even if no-one reads it.
And the ’stupid things’, if you are anything like me, dont seem that stupid at all really. But try and find out what makes you feel the worst, and see if you can do anything to change them at all.
I do feel a bit of a hypocrite writing this as I havent done too well in changing myself but I really would like to try and help someone who is in the same position as me. Dunno, might even help me out a bit lol.
If you ever feel like you need a talk or anything, add me on msn or something if you have it/want to. I’m i> small>(email removed) /small> /i> It can help to talk, a lot more than you might think!

It is a great first step to take! I know it’s tough, we all have doubts and insecurities about certain things about ourselves but at the end all that matters is how we deal with those doubts and insecurities. Do we let them fester and eat at us and spread or do we say to ourselves, ok, I feel insecure about such and such issue and I’m going to do something about it. You’ve chosen the latter and you should be proud of yourself for that! I guarantee that all these feelings can be addressed and remedied - either by stopping them altogether or by developing the skills and abilities that teach you how to diffuse them quickly. Either way, if you are dedicated to working on them - their days are numbered. :)
