Buy a new one Robert - work and pay for it. If your friend broke it on purpose then he is going to have to help you pay. If it wasjust an accident I’d reckon he should still pay half. Your Mum is angry because she no doubt had to pay for it in the first place. We can get let that when you break things we have worked hard for. Let her calm down and tell her you are going to somehow get the money to get a new one. At least it will look as if you care

coochbi - this could have been one expensive old racket. My son’s friend deliberately broke a $600 PS3 and trust me it can cause more than a small argument in the house. Thing was I’d warned him not to let this friend use it - so I was doubly angry.
