Dealing with mixed emotions!

I was previously in a relationship since I was 12 until now al,ost 8 years but it wasnt the best one. Me having a disfunctional family turned to him and he became my control. From what I wore and who I talked to wasnt in my hands and its sad because I was so vulernable and all I knew. My family kept praying to me that I should leave him but I wouldnt hear of it! As time went on I started to realize that I wasnt being treated right but I stayed anyway and just fought back for my rights only making matters worse. hed threaten to kill himself or me if I tried to leave Ive seen him cut himself and hed always show me the scar that “I” made him give himself. This summer he gave me an STD Thank god it was cureable and then I found out he was doing cocaine and hanging with this ghetto chick behind my back. I finally ended things with him about 9 months ago and havent talked to him since which is a record for me. The problem is I now have depression, think about him all the time, cry, wana see and talk to him but know I cant! I had no closure just him threatning me on our last phone conversation. I dont know what to do? My college career is even being affected as well as my present relationships! Any advice to help make my days brighter?

Heres the deal though! After I ended my relationship with the *** mentioned above, I started dating my new bf whose not helping my mental state with his actions. We’re moving in together but He is def bipolar or something??? He told me today that he wants to have his cake and eat it too! meaning that he wants to still see other chicks but also he wants to get married eventually too?? He said he knows that Im the best that he’ll ever find but wishes that he had fooled around more before he met me um ook Mixed signals here are freaking me out because like I said Im going to be moving in with him in a week! He says he loves me and whenever I ask him if hes sure he wants to do this, he gets upset and says “why would you think otherwise?” so im confused maybe someone can read between the lines Thanks :)

Based on what you’ve said here, I would recommend that you not move in with him. It doesn’t sound like he’s 100% committed to the relationship.

Number one I think you got into a relation way too early. At twelve years old you should be enjoying your childhood still. But, anyway, I promise you with all my heart that you haven’t found your soul mate yet. When you find your soul mate there is a whole different feeling. You are thinking of your past boyfriend probably because you know in your heart that this guy is not the one for you. You’re already having doubts. So, why are you thinking of your ex? Because you were with him for soooo long. All through your childhood. As I write this I see you have already signed a lease. Maybe you go by yourself and see since ya’ll haven’t moved in right and explain the situation to the landlord and plead for them to let ya’ll out of it. You know in your heart it’s not going to work. Please listen and don’t make this drastic mistake. You seem to be with a guy but also you seem lonely too. Remember this “You will find your mate when you least expect it and when you are NOT looking for them”. I hope you can get out of this I will pray for your situation. If not maybe you could find someone to take your name off and add their s to the lease. But, plese go by yourself and talk to them. What do you have to lose and then don’t worry about any men. Keep your mind occupied with friends and fun and work or school. Keep yourself busy and you’ll probably find that right one when you least expect it. The good lord will send him to you when the time is right and you have your life in order and are ready for him.
