What are you doing for your mother for Mother’s Day?

That is, if it’s Mother’s Day in your country, and you don’t have an evil bit*h for a mother or don’t have a mother at all.

I think Shie deserves something special on Mother’s Day. Few mothers in the world have fought as hard for their kids.

What would you get your mother if she constantly puts you down and calls you a horrible person, and attempts to stab you ?

The only gift worth giving to someone like that is forgiveness. And it helps you as much as her. She doesn’t even have to know you’ve given it.

not a bad idea, I don’t hate her, just makes me sad. what I like most about that is… no shipping and handling charge.

Back when I was in my early twenties, I was driving home from work late at night. And I started remembering all of the things my dad had done to me and my brother and sisters and mom. He had a lousy temper. Not the throw-you-through-a-window kind, just bad enough to make life a living hell. So I started naming the things he had done outloud, sort of in prayer, sort of just saying them. And one by one I forgave him for every embarrassing, violent of hurtful thing I could remember. I’m not a crying type, but I bawled as I did this. And my relationship was never an angry, bitter one after that. Over the years he mellowed out some. He was a good grandfather. He died about a year and a half ago. I’ve never regretted forgiving him. So forgive your mom. Even an *** of a parent can get better.
