Well hamsters are mainly active at night. I always used to sit quietly in the room i thought it had dissapeared in and listen to the sounds of it moving to find it at night.

There is maint to be a good way of trapping a hampster by making a staircase out of books to the top of a bucket. You place some food in the bucket and a little on the books to lead him up the books. Then when he goes for the food in the bucket he falls in and cant climb out.

My ‘Wolfie’ got out once and three days later my neighbor friend found him.He had got out through a hole under the sink. Most of the time they burrow in the furniture. So check the sofa ,chairs. And keep your eyes open for it to run along the edges of the floor where it meets the wall. They are like mice and thats what they do.Good luck :)
