thank you hun…. yeah.. im a bit nervous for the appointment .. i really want it to be dealt with.. ill probably feel a bit more nervous after my appointment tuesday when it seems more real once he tells me what they are going to do.. if anything..

thank you hun… as for advice from the dr’s.. not really.. no one knows a thing really about this.. (in my area) one specialist hasnt seen this in 35 years… so not good… lol.. and another neurosurgeon turned me away, refusing to talk to me.. sending his nurse out to tell me that he wouldnt see me… ugh.. so we will see what happens tomorrow..

thank you lots huns… i think the scariest thing for me is that the tumor is inside of the spinal fluid column… and i know for a fact that this can not be messed with because if damaged.. there goes my walking… and that scares me more than the surgery thing..

well… let me start off by saying how my ride went… seeing some drunk driver took my car out a while back.. and my mother stealing my insurance money.. i am forced to have my medical pay for my ride to the dr’s. seeing it was an hour trip to the drs… i guess you can say this is where it all started… i got stuck with some old guy who had things growing off from his face.. and he refused to talk the entire way… ugh.. so it was extremely boring and silent… all exception of him smacking and chomping on his gum… have i ever told you what little things annoy the hell out of me?? well let me just say… chewing where i can hear you.. drives me frigin batty… so imagine an hour of that there and an hour back… ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… i swear.. if i hear one more person today chew like that.. im going to strangle someone… lmfao.. anyhow… i get to the dr’s appointment.. in which i decided to use the bathroom.. as i walked in… there was a little boy who told his mommy that she stunk.. well.. she had no idea that i was in there.. and she took a big wiff and said.. youre right.. i do stink… omg… did i have to really hear that??? gross me the heck out… eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww… anyways.. i get to the dr’s office and i sign in at 10:30am… by 10:45am im stuck in this tiny little room with no windows… due to being stuck in an elevator twice in my life time.. i am extremely claustrophobic… seeing my appt. was at 11am, i decided to sit there with the door closed… trying to find things to amuse myself.. so again.. i got myself some really cool rubber gloves and i stole the really nice pen… omg.. its nice.. its really heavy metal… hehehehehehehhehe… anyways… by 12:15pm… i was freaking out a bit.. because of no windows… i decided to open the door.. and i waited… and waited.. as i was getting ready to gripe… the dr walked in.. he did an exam of checking my spine.. as i have a 35 degree curve due to scoliosis.. (which once you hit 40, you need surgery for a rod to be placed.. ugh.. another story… ) but… then he showed me my mri scans.. which i brought to him.. i already know what they look like etc… (yup, cuz im nosey… lmfao. ) but anyways… he told me that he is not doing anything for it.. he said that the risk is way too risky and that there is no way to get the entire thing…. WHAT??? after everything that i have been through to get there… with in 10 minutes.. he tells me this?? uuummm.. ok… well anyways.. he is rescheduling another mri to see if the tumor has grown any… then he will be making a better decision about what to do… but for now… this is it… i have to deal… i guess the risk is that big of a deal and the tumor will be monitored… ridiculous i think.. but he is the surgeon and knows more about the risks than i do… and besides.. i really do like to walk.. so.. that is how my day went.. and because i dont go to bed much before 4am.. and had to be back up at 6am.. im going to go take myself a nap… ~yawn~ ill be back later.. but that is the update on what is going on… many hugs and lots of love to all of you… love shie..

the doctor told me that its not cancerous.. what it is .. is… a fluid filled tumor.. its caused by traumatic injury.. or a hard blow to my back… he said it has been there quite a while.. im not sure what his quite a while descends too… so either its from my abusive ex husband or my parents because they use to abuse me as well… the thing that is wrong with it is… it puts pressure on many nerves and other thingies… that have to do with my back and arms and legs… so the only thing that i really have to worry about is it growing i guess from what the dr said.. just sucks.. i have to hold this with me because of being beaten.. seems like the memories are bad enough… ugh.. once i have the other mri.. i will be asking the dr about chemo… to see what he says.. anything to relieve some kind of pain… ill just have to buy myself a wig… lol…

i do have a tens unit… its an electrical device that you place on your back.. and it sends electrical shocks to your muscles and stuff… it does help a bit.. especially if i get a migraine.. i place it on my temples and the base of my skull.. 20 minutes later.. its bearable… i love it…

The two replies above mention pain reduction. I had three injections in my spine for pain. It was suppose to relieve pain. Im told its wonderful. But they discovered my back was broken and I had bone in my S1 that needed to come out. I met many patients that swear it was a God send though. They say it saved their sanity. I was just too far for that to help without surgery.
Maybe it can help you and your situation. Shrink, I see somewhere. I’ll ask my mother in law. She is a holistic this and that. Knows everything about herbs causes and what to take. She hates doctors and is a psycho analyst!!

uummm.. yeah… the injection… uumm… only if they put me out.. lmfao… im not afraid of needles.. but i heard those things really hurt… lol.. i would rather push my 10 lb son out again and again before i take one of those awake… lol.. what i have is called a syrinx.. sounds like srinks.. yeah.. i hate doctors too.. the new one i have now.. when i made an appt.. i told them.. i dont want a dr who is just going to throw meds at me.. but to find out what is going on… well… he actually doesnt throw meds… even if i want them… lmfao… so.. until i get to see another dr… i guess… lol.. i actually have to see my regular dr this friday… just for routine check up.. so i plan on asking him for something…

i definitely will keep you all updated… from what the doctor said is… it is riskier to remove the tumor than it is to leave it… i have found out today that my next mri appt is may 23rd at 4 15pm.. so i wont get home probably before 8pm as the dr’s office is an hour away… ugh… and the mri.. last time for just the small portion of mri that they did.. it took about 1 1/2 hours… and this time.. they are doing the entire back.. from my next all the way to my tail bone… but i will definitely keep you all up to date with my news as i get it… and thanks for the hugs… i need them.. hugs and love shie..

im doing pretty good actually… as for pain killers… yeah.. have had many of them in the past… however… they dont work.. either they knock me out… or they make me feel really loopy… or im like in extreme sloooowww mode… and i cant handle feeling these ways… because the pain is still there.. just myself is gone.. so i just dont take them.. on the scale the the doctors give you for pain.. 1 - 10.. im always at a 6… and have been for a couple years now.. but at times.. i can reach even a 12.. and be stuck in bed unable to move… and those are the times in which i would take the meds only.. because i have actually grown accustom to the pain.. and even though it hurts… i just deal…
