ok my laptop plays youtube videos slow and it skips allot.

I don’t know why. I use windows xp with a processor of 2.0ghz, the ram is 1.37gb. bu when I use my parents computer it plays the videos smoothly. They have windows vista and about the same specs as mine. and they also use wireless. does any one know why my computer is so slow playing videos??

Make sure that your computer isn’t doing anything else in the background. After you turn on your computer, don’t open any programs, but instead hit ctrl + alt + delete and click on the processes tab.

Is there anything other than “System Idle Process” taking up a lot of CPU (the numbers in the CPU column show what percentage of the CPU that program is using) or memory?

If so, let me know what the names of the processes are.
