I bought my mom a spa package at a 5 star hotel for her to enjoy because it is mother’s day.

When I told her about this, i was expecting her to be excited and happy…The purpose of the spa is for her to relax…but all she said was a “NO THANKS”. I insisted that she go for it but she said no. I told her she will enjoy it but all she said was a no no no. So, i have to cancel it. I really do not know what to give her! I was so upset that i cried. N yes, i was a little angry.

When i was young, i made her a card and on the next day, i saw the card in the bin. I cried. What should i do?

thats really awful. i’m not sure what to say to this, she sounds a little ungrateful. and how hurtful it must be to you.

When i asked her about the hand made cards which ive made for her (and she has thrown them away), she said that…”oh i have seen it. Isn’t that the purpose? I have seen it and now it is taking up space in the cupboard”

After what she has done to me today, i will never ever buy her anything anymore!

Don’t hate your mom. Some people just have a hard time with being appreciated and adored…even if it’s from their own children. I’m a bit like that, but I would never throw out or give away my children’s gifts. That’s a bit extreme. A trip to a spa at a 5 star hotel is not for everyone. Maybe she likes simple things, like making her breakfast and eating with her or taking a walk together and talking. Maybe just a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I know her actions don’t make sense. Can you talk to her and find out what she likes? Maybe she’s just not into material things.
