question help: The feature help.com needs most. - Help.com

The feature help.com needs most.

the one feature that i feel should be the top priority to anyone who has the power to change it is this,

i think that when you make a post, it should use the tags to search for previous posts and then reveal the most relevent results, instead of , or in addition to users who know about the topic.

why is this so important?

because the tag system is what help.com is built on. many of the past posts are forgotten because it is easier to just re-ask the question. this means that a lot of people are not getting the help that should be easily available. this could be easily fixed, and is just what is needed most…

next we can invert the colors… (jk)
but, blue and black would be a cool color scheme… maybe not fitting though…

i have pushed for that one. but the most important to me, is people seeing what happenned in the past, when the same question was asked. it would cut out sooo many posts, before they even happen meaning a far more efficient system.

yet, they can still use the old post, even if the question isnt exactly the same.

someone else has usually had the same problem. nothings new under the sun.

the only question is did they ask and get help on it at help.com or not
