Find help: I am 4 months pregnant, and woke up this morning to find that I had wet the bed. - Help.com

I am 4 months pregnant, and woke up this morning to find that I had wet the bed.

Is this normal? I’m a little embarrased by this, but this is my first child, and before I go calling the OBGYN, I want to know if this is a normal thing, or a sign of something more serious.

I did not have that when i was pregnant. But it is best to consult your doctor.

Could be just pressure on your bladder. As long as you don’t see bleeding, it’s probably ok, but call your doctor today to be sure.

I don’t know. I mean a lot of pregnant women find themselves going to the toilet like every hour, and therefore 8 hours sleeping could be difficult. This is because the baby’s head is usually pressing against your bladder. But if you are unsure, consult your doctor.

At four months, a fetus is very tiny, only a few inches long, not heavy or big enough to really put pressure on the bladder. But her uterus is getting larger and that would probably cause an increased need to go to the toilet.

I have 7 babies and never had that but your body goes through all kinds of changes, I am sure it’s nothing but check with your doctor.
