Star Wars!

A friend (C.Morgan) told me that Lucus is making a new movie, is this true, will there be a new Star wars movie? I would love for that to be true for I’m a big fan of Star Wars. Give me the 411 please, thank you.

Yes it did, but the one I saw was completely different from the one cartoon network showed.

When lucus first started the star war movies he wanted them in 3-d but do to the budge he was not able to afford it.. if you look at all the star war movies they are just about in a 3-d format just need to put the technology behind it. so he will be releasing all the star wars movies in 3-D

George Lucas is such a fan of the latest 3-D technology that he is planning to remaster all of the “Star Wars” films for rerelease in 3-D says today’s The Hollywood Reporter.

Appearing as part of a sextet of high-profile directors (James Cameron, Robert Zemeckis, Peter Jackson, Robert Rodriguez and Randal Kleiser) promoting 3-D and digital cinema at ShoWest on Thursday, Lucas said he hadn’t yet committed to a precise schedule but hoped to have the first film ready for the 30th anniversary of the original “Star Wars” movie in 2007 and that he would then rerelease one “Star Wars” film per year in 3-D.

Cameron is in preproduction on the 3-D film “Battle Angel,” planned for a 2007 release. Zemeckis has two 3-D features in production, and Rodriguez is readying “The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl in 3-D” for release in the summer. Jackson, who is currently filming “King Kong,” announced no specific 3-D plans, but according to sources he has installed a 3-D master suite in his production offices in New Zealand.

Have you seen Lars and the real girl? I love that movie. It was funny yet heartbreaking. He reminds me of a friend.

Hmm, not meaning to hijack your post, Queen. But hearing this news, just makes me cry in pain.

The “new” Star Warz has nothing on the original in my opinon.

Okay, here’s the deal. The new, full-length, computer-animated Star Wars film — entitled ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ — will be released this summer as a tie-in with the Cartoon Network ‘Clone Wars’ cartoon series, wrapping up all its loose ends. It is to be set between the Episodes Two and Three, almost like Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, only this time there will be a film to go along with it.

IMDb explains it all:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185834/

Personally, I think it will be crap. They’re giving Anakin his own padawan who will, according to Empire Magazine, be the film’s main character and, as already stated, be a computer-animated (cartoon) feature. In short, it will do nothing but stuff George Lucas’ pockets with more Benjamins than he needs.

this website has a clip of Mark Hamill talking about the possibilities of Episode 7. Its from 2004 but might be relevant to what you want to know.
